Prepare this simple, no-cook breakfast the night before for a quick morning meal.
Ingredients

- 1/2 cup rolled oats
- 1 tablespoon chia seeds
- 1 tablespoon cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup milk (dairy or non-dairy)
- 1/4 cup strong brewed coffee, cooled
- 1 tablespoon maple syrup or sweetener of choice
- 1 teaspoon caramel extract or 1 teaspoon caramel sauce
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- Combine the rolled oats, chia seeds, and cocoa powder in a jar or container.
- Pour in the milk, cooled coffee, maple syrup, caramel extract (or sauce), and salt.
- Stir all ingredients together until well mixed.
- Seal the container and refrigerate for at least 6 hours, or preferably overnight.
- In the morning, stir the oats again. Add a splash more milk if the consistency is too thick for your liking.
- Serve cold.
Notes
- For topping, add a drizzle of caramel sauce or chopped nuts before eating.
- Use instant coffee if you do not have brewed coffee available.
