A delightful fusion of classic banana pudding and tiramisu, featuring layers of caramel, bananas, and coffee-soaked ladyfingers.
Ingredients

- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup water
- 2 ripe bananas, sliced
- 1 cup strong brewed coffee, cooled
- 1/4 cup coffee liqueur (optional)
- 1 package ladyfingers
- 1 cup mascarpone cheese
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Cocoa powder for dusting
Instructions
- Make the caramel: Combine sugar and water in a saucepan over medium heat. Cook until golden brown, swirling occasionally. Remove from heat and carefully stir in heavy cream. Let cool.
- Combine cooled coffee and coffee liqueur in a shallow dish. Quickly dip ladyfingers in the coffee mixture and arrange a layer in the bottom of a serving dish.
- Spread a layer of sliced bananas over the ladyfingers.
- Drizzle some caramel sauce over the bananas.
- In a bowl, whisk together mascarpone cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Spread half of the mascarpone mixture over the caramel layer.
- Repeat layers: dipped ladyfingers, bananas, caramel, and remaining mascarpone mixture.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or preferably overnight.
- Before serving, dust with cocoa powder.
Notes
- Use ripe but not overly soft bananas.
- Adjust the amount of coffee liqueur to your preference.
- Chill the dessert thoroughly for best results.
