Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Spread bread cubes on a baking sheet and bake for 10-15 minutes, or until lightly golden.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, heavy cream, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
  3. Dip the toasted bread cubes into the egg mixture, ensuring they are well coated.

  6. In a trifle dish, layer half of the cooked French toast, followed by half of the cooked apples, and then half of the caramel sauce. Repeat the layers.
  7. Top with whipped cream. Chill for at least 30 minutes before serving.
