- 1 lb beef sirloin, thinly sliced
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 8 oz mushrooms, sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (optional)
Instructions
- Heat butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add beef strips and cook until browned. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, sauté onions until soft.
- Add mushrooms and garlic, cooking until mushrooms are tender.
- Sprinkle flour over the mixture and stir to combine.
- Gradually pour in beef broth, stirring constantly.
- Add Worcestershire sauce and Dijon mustard. Simmer until slightly thickened.
- Return beef to the skillet and stir in sour cream. Cook until heated through.
- Season with salt and pepper. Garnish with parsley before serving.
Notes
- For a thicker sauce, add more flour.
- Serve over egg noodles or rice.
- Replace sour cream with Greek yogurt for a lighter version.
