Ingredients

  • 1 pound Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved
  • 4 slices bacon, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large bowl, toss the Brussels sprouts with olive oil, salt, and pepper.
  3. Spread the Brussels sprouts in a single layer on a baking sheet.
  4. Roast for 20 minutes, or until tender and slightly browned.
  5. While the sprouts are roasting, cook the chopped bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crispy. Remove the bacon with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
  6. In a small bowl, whisk together the balsamic vinegar and maple syrup.
  7. Once the Brussels sprouts are roasted, return them to the large bowl. Add the cooked bacon and the balsamic glaze. Toss to coat.
  8. Serve immediately.

  • For extra crispy sprouts, you can broil them for the last 1-2 minutes of roasting, watching them closely to prevent burning.
