- 1 pie crust
- 6 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
- 1 large onion, thinly sliced
- 2 large tomatoes, sliced
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1 egg, beaten
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Press the pie crust into a pie plate.
- Layer the sliced onions in the bottom of the crust.
- Arrange the tomato slices over the onions.
- Sprinkle the crumbled bacon and cheddar cheese over the tomatoes.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise and beaten egg. Season with salt and pepper.
- Pour the mayonnaise mixture evenly over the cheese.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the filling is set.
- Let cool slightly before slicing and serving.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, you can add a pinch of garlic powder to the mayonnaise mixture.
- If you prefer a less firm filling, reduce the baking time slightly.
