Quick and flavorful ground chicken filling served in crisp lettuce cups.
Ingredients

- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 1 pound ground chicken
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1/2 cup water chestnuts, chopped
- 1/4 cup green onions, sliced
- 8 large butter lettuce leaves
Instructions
- Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add ground chicken and cook, breaking it up, until browned. Drain excess fat.
- Add onion, garlic, and ginger to the skillet. Cook for 3 minutes until softened.
- Stir in soy sauce, rice vinegar, brown sugar, and sesame oil. Bring to a simmer.
- Add chopped water chestnuts and green onions. Cook for 2 minutes, stirring constantly, until the sauce thickens slightly.
- Spoon the chicken mixture evenly into the lettuce leaves.
- Serve immediately.
Notes
- You can substitute ground turkey or pork for the chicken.
- For extra flavor, add 1 teaspoon of sriracha to the sauce mixture.
