Ingredients

  • 2 medium apples
  • 1 cup fresh cranberries
  • 1 inch piece of fresh ginger
  • 1 whole lemon, peeled
  • Water (optional, for thinning)

Instructions

  1. Wash all produce thoroughly.
  2. Core the apples. Do not peel them.
  3. Cut the apples and peeled lemon into pieces small enough for your juicer chute.
  4. Peel the ginger piece.
  5. Run the apples, cranberries, ginger, and lemon through a juicer according to the manufacturer’s directions.
  6. Stir the juice well. If the juice is too thick, add a small amount of water and stir again.
  7. Serve immediately over ice if desired.

Notes

  • For a sweeter juice, use sweeter apple varieties like Fuji or Gala.
  • If you do not have a juicer, you can blend the ingredients with water and strain the mixture through a fine-mesh sieve or cheesecloth.
