Description
A light and airy pavlova made in an air fryer, topped with fresh fruits and whipped cream. Perfect for Easter or Christmas celebrations.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 large egg whites, at room temperature
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon white vinegar
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
- 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups mixed fresh berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries)
- 1 cup sliced kiwi
Instructions
- Preheat your air fryer to 300°F (150°C). Line your air fryer basket with parchment paper, ensuring it has holes for air circulation.
- In a clean, dry bowl, beat the egg whites with an electric mixer until stiff peaks form.
- Gradually add the granulated sugar, one tablespoon at a time, while continuing to beat until the meringue is stiff and glossy.
- Gently fold in the cornstarch, white vinegar, and 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract.
- Spoon the meringue onto the prepared parchment paper in the air fryer basket, shaping it into a nest.
- Air fry for 45-55 minutes, or until the pavlova is crisp on the outside and dry to the touch. Turn off the air fryer and let the pavlova cool completely inside with the door ajar.
- In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream with the powdered sugar and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract until soft peaks form.
- Carefully transfer the cooled pavlova to a serving platter.
- Top the pavlova with the whipped cream, fresh berries, and sliced kiwi.
Notes
- Ensure all bowls and beaters are completely free of grease for the egg whites to whip properly.
- Do not open the air fryer door during the initial cooking time.
- You can customize the fruit topping with your favorites.
