Simple recipe for cooking sweet pearl onions in an air fryer until caramelized.

- 1 pound pearl onions, peeled
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon brown sugar (optional)
Instructions
- Place the peeled pearl onions in a bowl.
- Drizzle the olive oil over the onions and toss to coat evenly.
- Sprinkle with salt, pepper, and brown sugar, if using. Toss again.
- Place the seasoned onions in the air fryer basket in a single layer, working in batches if necessary.
- Air fry at 380°F (195°C) for 12 to 15 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until the onions are tender and lightly browned.
- Serve immediately.
Notes
- If you buy frozen pearl onions, thaw them completely before seasoning and cooking.
- For extra flavor, add a small dash of balsamic vinegar before air frying.
