A crispy and delicious chicken parmesan made in the air fryer for a healthier twist on the classic dish.
Ingredients

- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup marinara sauce
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
- In a bowl, mix breadcrumbs, parmesan cheese, garlic powder, oregano, salt, and pepper.
- Beat the egg in another bowl.
- Dip each chicken breast in the egg, then coat with the breadcrumb mixture.
- Place chicken in the air fryer basket and lightly spray with olive oil.
- Cook for 10 minutes, flip, then cook for another 5 minutes.
- Top with marinara sauce and mozzarella cheese.
- Air fry for an additional 2-3 minutes until cheese melts.
- Serve immediately.
Notes
- For extra crispiness, spray chicken lightly with oil before cooking.
- Use panko breadcrumbs for a crunchier texture.
- Adjust cooking time based on chicken thickness.
